The pros: real bathrooms, lots of food, cider donuts, beverages. The cons: the actual haunted houses and trail. We are really looking forward to the laser tag corn maze, but as we were being herded through like cattle, there was no sport to it. The shaking floor and vortex tunnel was best part, but unfortunately wasn't enough to make up for the lackluster scares found elsewhere. The staff, however were very nice.
Set up well. Great attractions. Only complaint is they need more lines open for payment during busy times (i.e. pretty fall days). Took 30 minutes to get several hundred people through 2 lines. Went fast once in & had lots of time to go through attractions. Corn maze was pretty cool.
I would definitely suggest place this for people looking for low to medium scares or for first time haunted trail visitors, not for haunted attraction veterans. I hope I don't sound too harsh as it definitely has its place and there are plenty of young girls screaming, who seemed to really enjoy themselves. It just wasn't for 75% of our group. Happy Halloween!
Went here for the haunted house/forest. It's extremely well done. Fairly scary. Go in a group. Effects were done very well. Its 3 different parts that you have to go through. Grab the VIP ticket to get through the lines quicker
Outstanding experience and well worth the drive. I am a huge Halloween fan and this place does it absolutely right. From the main entrance down to the attractions. Note: I went to their Halloween festival only.
A very nice place to visit. Seasonal available attractions vary the level of fun. Fall right before Halloween is an ideal time to go. Extremely helpful staff. Some activities have weight restrictions, so you might want to check their website for more information.
The mood was stellar, staff fun and onsite security even chatted with me about the history. To sum it up...after the last attraction on the way out a monster (staff) noticed we were not scared. He proceeded to follow us with an ATV in an open field walking into fog...as we neared the exit he turned the light on and gunned it towards us turning just shy....sounds ridiculous? It was. I wasn't scared but I felt like I was in every horror movie ever. This place is amazing if you are a Halloween fan. Props to you all, you made my year.
Went to Spooky Woods with 2 adults and 2 teen boys. One of the boys had never been to a haunted attraction before and really enjoyed his visit, as it wasn't too scary but still interesting to him. The rest of us were pretty disappointed, however. We have been to a number of other haunted attractions through the years, so we may be jaded, but this didn't stack up to some of the other ones we've been to (like Trotterville and Hacker House).
